  • Building up Albanian Media Institute ( Institute for Mid-career training, media monitoring and media policy). For 10 years chairmanship for the Board of the Institute. TOT programmes in various disciplines, building capacity for media monitoring (Danida) 1994-2008.
  • Reform of the Newsroom at RTSH (National Radio and TV (Danida) 2002-2003.
  • Support to AMI sustainability programme (Danida) 2006-2007.

 

Macedonia

 

  • Building of Macedonia Institute for Media. Capacity building for mid-career training, diploma course. Board member. TOT programme and curriculum development (FRESTA) 2000-2004.
  • Rapid Reaction Mechanism project – Exceptional Assistance to support the Framework Agreement. Media training, TOT, media monitoring and strengthening of Journalist union. (European Agency for Reconstruction) 2002.
  • Support to MIM sustainability programme (Danida) 2006-2007.

 

Montenegro

 

  • Building of Montenegro Media Institute. Capacity building for mid-career training, diploma course. Board member. TOT programme and curriculum development. (FRESTA) 2000-2004.
  • Support to MMI sustainability programme (Danida) 2006-2007.

 

South – East Europe

 

  • South East European Network for Professionalization of the Media. Establishment of and support to regional network of media training institutes/-centres from 12 countries. Regional courses for journalists, TOT, media research and capacity building. (FRESTA) 2000 – 2007.

 

South-Serbia

 

  • Joint training programme for all Serbian and Albanian journalists and media in the Presovo Valley. Partly in cooperation with OSCE (FRESTA) 2001-2002.

 

Vojvodina

 

  • Support for institution and capacity building for Novi Sad School of Journalism with special focus on strengthening ethnic minority media and mutual understanding between the different ethnic groups in the Vojvodina Province. (FRESTA) 2002-2004.
  • Support to NSSJ sustainability programme (Danida) 2006-2007.

 

Serbia

 

  • Building and development of Center for Professionalization of Media in cooperation with media and media organizations in Serbia. Institution building, management and TOT. (FRESTA) 2002-2004.
  • Journalism training at NSSJ in Novi Sad, (EU) 2009.

 

Nepal

 

  • Technical Assistance to Nepal Press Institute Institutional development, management, strategy development, financial sustainability Long term TOT programme (Danida) 2002 –2007.

 

Mongolia

 

  • Establishment of a printer house for the independent press. Today a self-owning non-profit organization printing up to 75% of the newspaper circulation in Mongolia. (Danida) 1994-99.
  • Building up Press Institute of Mongolia (Institute for Mid-career training, media monitoring and media policy). TOT programmes in various disciplines, building capacity for media monitoring, management. (Danida) 1994-99 and 1999-2003. (EU-TACIS) 1998-2002.

 

Southern Africa

 

  • Establishment, development of and support to a regional center (SADC) for journalism and media training (NSJ), located in Maputu. Joint Danish-Norwegian-Swedish project. (Danida) 1992-2007.
  • Member of the Board of NSJ

 

Zambia

 

  • Upgrading of journalism education at University of Zambia. Curriculum development, equipment and training etc. (Danida) 1995-99 and 1999-2003.

 

Tanzania

 

  • Upgrading of journalism education at Tanzania School of Journalism. Curriculum development, equipment and training etc. (Danida) 1994-1998.

 

Bangladesh

 

  • Training of Trainers (TOT) programme involving 5 local organizations (state and NGOs) involved in journalism training (Danida) 2004-2005.

 

Sri Lanka

 

  • Long-term TOT programme and curriculum development for mid-career training center in Jaffna. (DANIDA) 2005-2006.

 

Kosovo

 

  • Preparations for establishment of Kosovo Media Institute. Building consensus among Albanian and Serbian journalists and media, development of statute etc.. (OSCE) 2004-2005.

 

Yemen

 

  • Preparing a broad media programme based on consensus and involvement at all stakeholders as well as a framework of cooperation among donors present in Yemen.
  • Coordination of the implementation of the Joint Yemeni Media Development Programme
  • Reform of journalism education at Sana’a and Aden universities in cooperation with the journalism faculties from Zwolle (NL) and Lincoln (UK) Universities
  • TOT and capacity building for professional journalism training in Yemen
    Reform and capacity building of national institute for journalism training (MCTQI) (Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs) 2004-2009.

 

W-Balkans

 

  • Support to media institutes in Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro and Vojvodina with focus on strengthening self-sustainability (Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs) 2006-2007.
